“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
― Mae West

I am no philosopher neither am I the experienced one who can lecture people about life, but I guess with my little knowledge I have figured out what to do to be the king or queen of your life. I love reading and throughout my perusal, I found these five amazing quotes that I know will help us all to rule our life.

“No matter what they wish for, no matter how far they go, people can never be anything but themselves. That’s all.”
― Haruki Murakami, Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman: 24 Stories

So the first rule is- To Make Peace With Yourself

The reason we need to make peace with ourselves is because we can run from other people in our life but the only soul we can’t run away from is our own. So, we need to accept ourselves no matter how shitty, crazy or dumb that is. Cause at the end of the day we are our best companion and don’t you compare yourself to others as well. There will always be those who are ‘better’ than you, and those who are ‘worse’ than you and you have to accept that fact. People are born to be different and Lord has made none of us the same as others. Even identical twins are different from each other in many areas. So, There is always a room for improvement, because nobody is perfect neither on the outside nor on the inside. And also please don’t judge others because, my friends! you have no freaking idea what others journey has been all the way till now.

“If someone isn’t what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

The second rule is- What Others Think of You is None of Your Business

You are never the person what others think of you that you are rather you are the creator of your own fortune and good deeds. So never let anyone define you with their opinion and never pay hid to what negative things people say behind your back cause if you are honest-self before everyone, people will love you at the end of the day. Therefore, focus on doing your best rather than question yourself if others think you are good enough.

“People can tell you to keep your mouth shut, but that doesn’t stop you from having your own opinion.”
― Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

Third rule is- Always Have Your Own Opinion

We should always have our own point of view of seeing things. That’s the beauty of us as a human being that we have our own judgments and opinion about everything. And our opinion might be wrong at the end of the day and for that my friends we have to have an open mind. Otherwise, we’d be confined to our small world and would lose the opportunity to evolve.

“Sometimes the simplest solution out of conflict is becoming someone’s friend, instead of saying goodbye forever.”
― Shannon L. Alder

Fourth rule is- To Love Unconditionally Even if It’s Your Enemy

My Ma used to tell me when I was growing up that “Girl, never ever you break someone’s heart by behaving badly, always try to convey the love as a human to another human, try to show the humility and humbleness towards our fellow humans because my darling the world is too small and our life is too short. And you never know when you would stumble across a person who might become your best friend for the rest of your life or would be your go to place for your worries and we can always be surrounded by love only by showing compassion and love for others.” I guess this lesson has been the best one my mom could teach me till today. But i won’t say that I have got zero enemies, but I guess, I can proudly say I’ve been able to enjoy friendship and love more for my mother’s lesson.

“Elizabeth had never been more at a loss to make her feelings appear what they were not. It was necessary to laugh when she would rather have cried.”
― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

And the fifth rule is- To Smile Even When You Are Not Feeling Like It

Sometimes we’re sad, anxious, defeated, tired, annoyed or angry. For me, sometimes I cave to another’s cruel words, a bad memory, traffic jams, hot humid days and I fall prey to sour moods which would irritate me like hell. (And sometimes I just feel like crying, as being a woman it’s very common to have mood swings abruptly. LOL! ) But no matter what might be our conditions there are always a million reasons for us to smile. And we should smile most of the times. Also if you think about the scientific benefits, then smile can reduce the stress and can help improving your immune system and your daily productivity. Also, a smile makes you more attractive, approachable and happier as a human being. So, for girls, why put on make ups when you have a beautiful smile and for guys why showing off with the materialistic stuff when you have the unique smile to rule the world!

;)

I guess these five key rules are some that you can put on your list. And you are my friends the creator of your own rules and I completely appreciate the way you are ruling your world. Lastly, off Course, we are human beings, so never ever it would ever happen that our life will run as smooth as butter. It won’t happen that these rules will work for everything, because everyone’s life is unique in his/her own way. So, that’s OK too I guess, it’s completely humane to be depressed, to feel lost and then to get yourself together again for the next voyage of your life.

So live and let live, that’s my theory.
