The immensity of the universe does not imply that you should not care about anything since life is meaningless, so nothing in this essay should be interpreted in that way. Even if it doesn’t important to the cosmos as a whole, what matters is that it matters to us.
There is a saying of #Muhammad (PBUH), conveying a private conversation between him and God, in which God says:
“The heavens and the earth cannot contain me,
but the heart of my faithful devotee suffices me.”
The great Rumi hints at this:
“There is a secret
hidden in the heart of God’s people.
That secret
even Gabriel
Cannot find.
Seek it!”
That secret is in you, my beloved. God’s spirit resides within you. All of the infinite universes that are beyond our range of sight and sound are reflected in you.
